In this article we present the PSEN sl-2 ml door lock from Pilz. The safety gate system prevents the opening of safety gates into hazardous areas while hazards are present in the hazardous area. The guard lock is suitable for personal protection and can also be used as a mechanical guard in accordance with EN ISO 14119.

Operaton Example
A High signal is generated on safety outputs 12 and 22 when the following occur simultaneously:
- Actuator is within response range (safety gate is closed)
- Inputs S11 and S21 are High signals
- Input S31 is a High signal （control command for magnetic guard lock)
Safety outputs 12 and 22 are Low when at least one of the following conditions is met:
- Actuator is out of response range
- Input S11 or S21 is a Low signal
- Input S31 (control command for magnetic guard lock) is Low
Signal output Y32
- Signal output Y32 receives a High signal when the actuator is within response range (safety gate closed).
