In this tutorial I will show you how to upload the program from AB PLC.No difficult things.

Driver Setup

Start up the RSLinx Classic.

The following software is started.

Click the “Configure drivers”.

The Configure Drivers screen is shown.

Ethernet/IP Driver is used here to download/upload the program, Please choose Ethernet/IP Driver from the drop-list.

Add New.

Enter your driver name,OK.

Choose “Browse Local Subnet”, and select the Network card that is connected to the PLC,Press OK.

Configuration is OK. You can see the status is changed to Running.

Test

Start up the RSLogix 5000.

Go to Communications>Who Active.

Insert the driver that you inserted in the previous step.

And Choose the PLC that you want to access.

Click the upload button to get the project from CPU.

the information popup is shown to tell you the Project is different,is that OK?

Click the Select File Button.

Select an Empty Folder.

Yes.

After the upload is Finished, the project will open automatically, and status is changed to “Online”.
