Hallo! In this tutorial I will show you how to install the Engineering Tools – EcoStruxure Machine Expert to program my Schneider PLC TM241CEC24U.

Installation

Choose English>OK.
Next>.
Accept the License and Next>.
Click Install.
The Schneider Electric Software installer is installed.
The Schneider Electric Software Installer is started.
Choose EcoStruxure Machine Expert from the Product List,Next>.
Choose your Language,Next.
Select the products that you would like to install, in my case, only Program machine controllers(Modicon) are needed. Press Next to continue.
Agree the License, Start installation.
Please wait a minute..
Done!
Machine Expert V2.0 is installed!
Your First Program
Start the Machine Expert.
Import the missing DTMs.
Create your new Project
Go to File>New Project to create a new project.
Select the Controller that you are using(TM241CEC42T/U)>Enter your project name>OK to finish.
Project is created.
Create program
Switch the view to “Application tree”.
SR_Main is your first main program.
Please double check it to open the program.
The editor is very like codesys.
Just define a counter variables and increase itself in every cycle.
Login
Press Login to download your project.
Press “Alt”F” to confirm the download operation.

you need to create a user for the runtime if this is your first time to login.
Enter the user name and password to login the runtime.

Start!
Finally ,we can press start or F5 to switch our application to run condition.
The CPU may not switch to RUN Mode if the “Mode switch” is in stop direction.
The counter is increasing!
Options
Finally I would like to enable the smart-coding option – it will save your life.
Go to Tools>Options.
Open the smartCoding options>Check the “List components immediately when typing” box.
The IDE will auto list all the matching cases when you are typing.
